In NSW public schools, all financial contributions are voluntary. Every student has full access to the curriculum, regardless of whether contributions are made.

Our School Transition Program
Starting at a new school can be a big step. At Henty Public School, we offer a welcoming and supportive transition program to help new students and their families feel confident and prepared.
Our transition program includes:
- Kindy Kickoff sessions: Specially tailored for children starting Kindergarten, these sessions begin in Term 2 each school year. Across five sessions throughout Terms 2 and 3, children get the chance to meet classmates, experience classroom activities and get familiar with the school environment in a fun and gentle way.
- Transition to School days: We offer a mix of full and half-day orientation days, giving new students a chance to meet their teachers and peers, learn school routines and explore learning environments. These sessions help children build friendships and develop confidence before starting school.
- School tours, open days and orientation sessions: Families can explore our school, see our facilities in action and meet our warm and dedicated staff. These opportunities are a great way for both parents and students to feel informed, welcome and comfortable.
- Information sessions: Covering everything from uniforms and school routines to available support services and extra-curricular opportunities, these sessions help families feel prepared and answer any questions they have.
